Hula & Tahitian Classes

Enrollment  and Tuition:

Ohana Entertainment welcomes new students with open arms.  Classes run at four week intervals, starting at the first Tuesday of each month.  A minimum of 5 registered students are required to hold a class in session.  The full tuition of $55 is paid on a monthly basis and is due at the first day of class.  There are no refunds for missed classes.

Attire:  Required for all classes – Pareo or sarong and tank top or t-shirt.

Beginner's class:  Tuesday 7-8pm.

In this class you will learn the basic steps of Hula including Hula Auana (modern Hula) and Hula Kahiko (ancient Hula) as well as Tahitian dances such as the Otea and Aparima. The class is open to students ages 12 and up. This is a great class for anyone who would like to dance for recreation or exercise or who is looking to become a professional dancer. 

Advanced Class:  Tuesday 8-10pm.

Ohana Entertainment advanced class admission require instructor approval.  Instructions are similar to the Beginner's class but are more intense focusing on perfecting techniques, choreography, and stage presence.  Those interested in becoming professional dancers for Ohana Entertainment should enroll in these classes. All professional dancers are required to attend these classes. Students enrolled in the Beginner's class are welcome to observe and participate in the advanced class.
